Elder Law

Humans are living longer each decade. Certain populations of the world now have more elders than young people. In the US, those aged 62 and older made up 21% of the population. Though not as top-heavy as countries like Japan and Italy, elder care and legal issues specific to elders are becoming more important every year.

At Millman Law Group, we understand that importance, and it is part of the reason we have dedicated ourselves to all aspects of elder care through our practice of elder law. We focus on helping our clients find long-term care solutions with our life care planning services, prepare their assets for the next generation with estate planning, and help them maintain autonomy longer through domicile planning and Medicaid planning.

The three main areas of elder law are:

  • Estate planning and administration
  • Guardianship
  • Long-term care and Medicaid planning

Elder law also encompasses other elder-related issues such as fraud, elder abuse, consumer protection, nursing home resident rights, real estate issues assistance, counseling and advocacy, and discrimination.
